The Black Sea, beautiful mountains, captivating lunar landscapes, sandy beaches and bays which looks like Scandinavian fjords; all this made Crimea the most favourite vacation spot of the USSR. Resort cities of the peninsula with its famous sanatoriums and children’s camps attracted people from all over the Soviet Union.
We spent some time searching and found a few interesting historical photos just to show you what the Soviet Crimea’s resort towns and other popular cities among tourists looked like in the 1970s.
