Climbing on top of the Motherland Calls Monument in Volgograd

The Motherland Calls (also called the Mamayev Monument) is a huge (85 meters) statue in Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd, Russia. The monument is commemorating the Battle of Stalingrad, it was built in 1967 and for that time it was the largest statue in the world.

It is actually not easy to get inside the statue, but a couple of weeks ago a group of Russian thrill-seekers have climbed on the top of the monument and took a few great photos.
