TK-17 ‘Arkhangelsk‘ is a huge Russian typhoon-class submarine located in the base of Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast. Some time ago the Russian blogger Oleg Kuleshov was visiting the military object and took a few interesting photos mainly from a recreation zone. It’s still prohibited to take pictures of technical area despite the fact that the submarine is already decommissioned.

Fantastic views of the INSIDE of an Akula class (NATO Typhoon) giant. Absolutely amazing to see what it looked like inside. Find myself trying to imagine the sailors that called this Home for months at a time…and what they must’ve thought about being inside this huge underwater ship. Civilians here in the US very rarely get to see things like this up close– FORGET about being able to see inside!?…. It’s crazy the sheer amount of space there is aboard. But I guess that’s to be expected in a sub of this size…so awesome.
Hello, Chris,
Thanks for your comment, it is nice to hear you like it!
But anyone who has served in subs is not impressed….
Thank you for the view of the massive submarine it is magnificent
